Buying a Christmas present for a golfer is harder than it looks. Ask them what they want and they will point you at a £500 driver. Buy them clothing and you need a size. Buy them balls and you discover they will only play one specific model, and they will explain why for twenty minutes.
Everything here is gear golfers actually get through — balls, gloves, caps, tees and markers — from a stocking filler to the main present, most of it ready to go under the tree without extra wrapping.
Christmas golf gifts by budget
| Budget | Gift | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Under £10 | Bamboo tees (from £3.99), a sleeve of A-grade balls (£7) or the Tiger ball marker (£9.99) | Stocking fillers, Secret Santa with a low limit, or a little extra alongside a bigger present. More ideas in our golf stocking fillers guide. |
| Around £20 | A golf glove or the Mystery Cap | Something they will use every round. Gloves need a size and hand, so check before you buy. See golf gifts under £20. |
| Around £30 | Members Box — £28 | Secret Santa with some weight to it, or a first golf gift for someone who has just taken the game up. See golf gifts under £30. |
| £54–£82 | Captains Box — £54 or the Golf Ball Advent Calendar — £82 | The main present. The Captains Box is our most popular at Christmas; the advent calendar is the one to open a door a day in the run-up. See golf gifts under £50. |
| Around £100 | Presidential Box — £94 | The big one. For a dad, a father-in-law, or the golfer who already owns everything and is impossible to surprise. See golf gifts under £100. |
The golf advent calendar for Christmas 2026
Our Golf Ball Advent Calendar is twelve doors, twelve collector golf balls, and a limited run of 75 calendars, for £82. There is no filler: no sweets, no keyrings, no glove in a guessed size. Every calendar ordered now is delivered before 12 December, ready for door one on 13 December, with the last door on Christmas Eve. When all 75 are claimed, the run closes.
Comparing options? Our guide to the best golf advent calendars in the UK for 2026 covers prices and release dates for American Golf, Vice, Aldi, M&S and the big ball brands.
Why golf gear makes a better Christmas present than golf novelty
Every golfer has received the golf-themed mug, the novelty headcover, the book of golf jokes. Most of it ends up in a drawer. The gear that actually gets used is the boring stuff — the things that run out.
Golf balls disappear. Gloves wear through by spring. Tees snap. Caps get filthy. None of it is glamorous on a shopping list, but it is the thing they will still be using in April.
Ordering in time for Christmas
We ship UK-wide. Last order dates for Christmas delivery are posted on our shipping page each December — if you are cutting it fine, order early in the week rather than at the weekend, and check the shipping page before you buy.
Boxes arrive gift-ready. You can add a gift message at checkout.
One thing to get right: glove size
Every mystery box includes a glove, so we ask for a size (S, M, M/L, L or XL) and which hand. Right-handed golfers wear the glove on the left hand. If you are buying blind, most right-handed men take a Medium. If it is wrong, get in touch and we will swap it.
Christmas gift ideas for golfers, by who you are buying for
- Golf gifts for dad — the Captains or Presidential Box. Dads tend to have the clubs already and never replace the consumables.
- Golf gifts for women — the same boxes with a glove in her size. See our golf gifts for women for ideas by budget.
- Secret Santa for a golfer — the Members Box at £28 if your limit stretches, otherwise a sleeve of balls or the ball marker.
- Golf stocking fillers — tees, a sleeve of balls, a ball marker or a cap alongside a main present.
- The golfer who has everything — the Presidential Box or the advent calendar. The unboxing is the part they cannot buy themselves.
- Someone who has just started — the Members Box. Beginners lose balls at a frightening rate.
Golf Christmas gifts: common questions
What is the best Christmas gift for a golfer?
Something they will use up. Golf balls, a glove in the right size and tees all run out, so they never go to waste. For one present that covers all of it, the Captains Box (£54) is our most popular Christmas gift. For the golfer who has everything, the Presidential Box (£94) or the golf advent calendar (£82).
Is there a golf advent calendar for 2026?
Yes. Our 2026 golf ball advent calendar has twelve doors with one collector golf ball behind each, from 13 to 24 December. It is £82, limited to 75 calendars, and delivered before 12 December.
What can I buy a golfer for under £20?
Bamboo tees from £3.99, a sleeve of three premium A-grade balls for £7, the Tiger ball marker and divot tool for £9.99, or a golf glove or the Mystery Cap at around £20. See more golf gifts under £20.
What is a good golf Secret Santa gift?
A sleeve of balls or the ball marker for a low limit, or the Members Box at £28 if your limit stretches. Our golf stocking fillers and Secret Santa guide has more ideas.
What if I don't know their glove size?
Most right-handed men take a Medium, worn on the left hand. If the size turns out wrong, get in touch and we will swap it.
When should I order golf gifts for Christmas?
As early as you can, especially for limited items like the advent calendar. Last order dates for Christmas delivery are posted on our shipping page each December.
Do you deliver free, and can I return a gift?
UK delivery is free on orders over £100, and you have 30 days to return unused items. Full details are on our returns page.
