Personalised Golf Gifts

Personalisation is a good instinct and a narrow one. Put a name on the right item and it becomes the thing they keep for years. Put it on the wrong item and you have made something they cannot return and will not use.

Here is where it works, where it does not, and what we can put a name on.

What we can personalise

Item From Why it works
Bag tag £8 The classic. Lives on the bag for years, and genuinely helps when four identical bags come off a buggy.
Scorecard holder £10 Used every single round. Most golfers have never owned a nice one.
Embroidered golf towel £16 Always in use, always visible, and the one they own is filthy.
Ball marker and divot tool £18 Replaces the 5p coin and the broken tee. Small, and disproportionately appreciated.

Add any of these through Build Your Box and we will pack them with the rest of the gift.

Where personalisation goes wrong

Personalised golf balls divide people sharply. Some golfers love them. Others do not want their name on something they are about to hit into a lake, and will quietly keep them in the garage. If you are not certain which type they are, put the name on something that stays in the bag instead.

Personalised clothing is the other one to avoid. You are now guessing a size and a taste, and adding a name makes it unreturnable.

The rule: personalise the things that live in the bag, not the things that get lost or worn.

Custom golf gifts for golf days and clients

Personalised items work particularly well for golf days, societies and client gifting, because the name is the point — it marks the occasion rather than just the owner.

Two things worth knowing. For a prize, personalise it to the winner only if you know who that is in advance; otherwise personalise the occasion instead. For a client gift, put their name on it, never your logo. A gift with your branding on it is marketing, and it reads as marketing.

We cover prize table structure and budgets per head in our guide to golf day prizes and corporate gifts.

How to order

Personalised items are added through Build Your Box, where you choose the contents and add custom text at checkout. If you want a personalised item inside one of our ready-made boxes, or you have a request we have not listed, email max@clubhousegoods.co.uk before ordering and we will sort it.

Allow extra time. Personalisation is done by hand and it is the part of an order that cannot be rushed, which matters if you are buying for a date.

Not sure personalisation is the right call?

It usually is not the whole gift. It works best as one item inside a bigger box, so the name is a detail rather than the entire idea. Our golf gift boxes start at £28, and the Presidential Box includes personalised Clubhouse Goods items as part of the mix.
