How It's Packed
Every box is layered by hand in the same order, so the surprise reveals itself properly when you open it — not everything at once.
The base layer
Golf balls and heavier accessories go in first, giving the box its structure.
Course accessories
Headcovers, gloves and scorecard holders, wrapped individually.
The apparel piece
Folded flat on top, so it's the first thing you actually see.
The surprise extra
Tucked under the lid — the one thing you didn't see coming.
Sealed & ready
A wax seal and your gift message, if you added one, go on last.
A golf mystery box is the simplest answer to a genuinely difficult problem: golfers are hard to buy for, and most of them will not tell you what they want. Every CHG box is built from real, usable golf gear — balls, gloves, caps, tees, markers and accessories — packed so that opening it is part of the present.
Which golf mystery box should you buy?
We build three boxes. They differ in how much is inside and how premium the contents are, not in the type of gear you get. If you want them broken down properly, our box comparison page puts all three side by side.
| Box | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Members Box | £28 | The fundamentals. A solid restock for a golfer who plays regularly, or a first mystery box if you are testing the water. |
| Captains Box | £54 | Our most popular box. The balance between standout and sensible — enough in it to feel like a proper gift. |
| Presidential Box | £94 | The full unboxing experience. Built for golfers who notice the difference between good gear and premium gear. |
What goes into a CHG box
Contents vary by box and change as stock moves — that is the point of a mystery box — but they are drawn from the same categories every time: golf balls, a glove, headwear, tees, ball markers and course accessories. Nothing novelty, nothing that ends up on a shelf. These are consumables a golfer gets through during a season. There is a fuller answer on what is actually in a golf mystery box, including how we grade the balls.
That is deliberate. Golf balls disappear. Gloves wear through. Tees snap. Caps get filthy. There is always room in the bag for more, which is why a box of usable gear beats another golf-themed ornament.
Are golf mystery boxes actually worth it?
They are if the contents are gear you would have bought anyway. Ours are built around balls, gloves and course essentials rather than filler, so the honest test is whether you would spend £28, £54 or £94 on those categories over a season. Most golfers would.
We do not quote a cash value or claim a box is worth more than you pay, because recommended prices on small golf accessories are easy to inflate and hard to check. Judge it on the categories instead.
Getting the sizing right
Every box includes a glove, so we ask for two things at checkout: glove size (S, S/M, M, M/L or L) and which hand they wear it on. Right-handed golfers wear the glove on the left hand and vice versa — if you are buying a gift and you are not sure, most right-handed players take a Medium. Our glove size guide has the full chart. Get it wrong and we will sort it out; it is the single most common thing people ask us about.
Buying this as a gift
Boxes arrive in premium packaging, ready to hand over — no extra wrapping needed. If it is a Christmas present, a birthday, a Father's Day gift or something for the golfer who already owns the entire pro shop, the box does the work of choosing for you.
You can add a gift message at checkout, and there is a personalisation option if you want a name on something inside. We ship UK-wide, with free UK delivery on orders over £100 — full detail is on our shipping page.
Golf mystery box vs golf gift box
People use the two terms interchangeably, but there is a real difference. A golf gift box is a set where you can see exactly what is included before you buy. A golf mystery box keeps the contents hidden — you know the categories and the value, not the specific items. Mystery boxes give you more gear for the money because we can build them from whatever is best in stock that week. Gift boxes give you certainty. If the recipient is fussy about a specific ball model, a golf gift box is the safer choice, and Build Your Box lets you choose every item yourself.
Who are Clubhouse Goods?
We are a UK golf company building mystery boxes and gift boxes for golfers, with over 350 verified customer reviews averaging 4.6 out of 5. We are not Clubhouse Golf — different company, similar name, and we get the confusion a lot. If that is who you were looking for, this page explains the difference.
Frequently Asked Questions
Contact UsWhat's inside a CHG Mystery Golf Box?

Can I choose what's inside my box?
Part of the fun is the surprise. You choose the tier — Members, Captains or Presidential — and our team hand-picks the contents.
Which box should I choose?
The Members Box is great for everyday golf essentials. The Captains Box steps things up with premium accessories and exclusive CHG items. The Presidential Box is our ultimate box, with premium apparel, personalised items and a chance at high-value equipment.

Orders are hand-packed and dispatched within 24 hours, with free UK delivery on orders over £100.
