Premium Golf Balls
These are the balls people ask for by name: Titleist Pro V1, Pro V1x and Callaway Chrome Soft, graded A/Pearl, plus a hand-picked premium mix for anyone who is less precious about the model.
A/Pearl is our top grade. Light play marks at most, no cuts, no scuffs worth mentioning — the kind of ball you would happily put on the first tee. Our grading page explains where the line sits between A, B and C, and the wider golf balls range covers the other grades.
Why buy graded rather than new
A urethane-covered ball loses performance when the cover is cut or badly scuffed, not because somebody has hit it before. An A-grade Pro V1 with light cosmetic marks plays within a rounding error of a new one, at a fraction of the price.
The practical effect is that you stop rationing them. Most golfers who buy premium balls new end up playing their good ones only on good days, which rather defeats the point.
Single model or a premium mix?
If you notice the difference between a Pro V1 and a Pro V1x — spin, flight, feel off the putter — buy the model you play. If you lose four a round and mainly want good balls in the bag, the premium mix gives you more for the money and a spread of top-brand models rather than one.
Availability
Graded stock moves in batches, so individual lines come and go. If what you want is not showing, our mystery boxes are where most of our premium ball stock ends up — the Presidential Box includes twelve premium tour-level A-grade balls as standard, alongside a glove, headwear and accessories.
Buying balls as a gift
Balls are the safest golf gift there is: they suit any ability and every golfer runs out. If you want it to feel like a present rather than a top-up, a golf gift box builds them into a package that arrives ready to hand over.
